Description

This is a spectacular page from Christian and Ann Slade's book Korgi Book 2: The Cosmic Collector. After getting page 26 and seeing how fantastic the line work was I naturally had to check with Christian to see if he still had the page that followed it. Lucky for me it was still available so we worked out a trade for it as well as the pieces "Woodland Hockey" and "Tall Tales".

This page features Ivy and Sprout waving goodbye to Art and Wanda as they leave from being rescued. The piece also features a fantastic 2/3 page splash of Ivy and Sprout standing on an intricately detailed bridge looking down at a stream while the cosmic collector lurks below.

The detail on this page is simply unbelievable. It must have taken hours to execute this page alone. When Christian was talking about this page he said "The bridge in that bottom panel was based on one my wife and I saw while hiking in a forest in Italy back in 2005. It reminded me of something from The Hobbit!". It definitely does look like something out of the Hobbit.
