DescriptionAfter Tomb of Dracula, Batman and DD, Dr. Strange was next on my "to get Colan" list. And this page, from the Roy Thomas/Colan era certainly had everything I could hope to find in a Dr. Strange page. It was Colan with his usual bag of tricks, self contained and had an iconic Dr. Strange pose.First panel is a negative photostat from the artwork that is underneath, and even though it has a tear on the black part (from some previous owner who couldn't stop admiring the piece, no doubt), it doesn't affect the piece. In all, a truly inspiring piece :) Social/Sharing |

'Inspiring' is correct. This piece is just great. The image of Dr. Strange is posed, as you stated, so iconically. And the flow of the panels thereafter have that cinematic fluidity Gene always stove for. Good pick up!

Gene Colan's 1960s Dr. Strange work was so stunning. Your page has those great, odd-shaped panels that I love. Congratulations on a super page!

Like you a Doc strange page from this era is a must have for me.This page was always one of my favorites.I remember the impact that the Colan Palmer teaming on this book left on me .Congratulations,....I am jealous,.. in a healthy way!
