Apparition by Michael Griffith

I first met Mike through our mutual friend, Aaron Most. For several years in a row, we would all go to the Chicago Comicon together.

When I discovered Mike drew as well, I wanted to include his work in my book. He told me to stop by some time and drop off the book. I recall dropping by some early morning and putting the book in his car, as it was unlocked. I remember him mentioning later how freaked out he was when he went to the car and it was just sitting there. He couldn’t figure out how it got there.

The other thing I remember is he wasn’t too thrilled about where in the book his sketch would be, right after Dan Jurgens, and right before Adam Hughes. It wouldn’t be the last time someone complained on positioning in the sketchbook.
