Description
Birthday art – Part 2.

From the brilliantly twisted mind of wonder artist Wade Furlong comes this incredible painting of his very own creation Bad Hare. A character he created as a tribute to one of his art heroes Phil Hale and Phil’s own creation Johnny Badhair. As much as I admire and respect Phil and his work, being that I find Wade to be just as talented an artist, PLUS the fact that he’s one of my buds, I have to say that this piece means so much more to me personally than anything I could acquire (or afford to acquire) by Phil.

I’d been bugging Wade to do me a BH piece ever since he sent me a scan of a piece he did for another friend. It’s just such a fun and crazy character that is so wide open to his artistic interpretations. The character is designed in such a way that Wade can really play around with it and do different and interesting versions depending on his mood. Every time I see him do another version for someone else, I almost always immediately want THAT ONE! LOL! Heck, if it were up to me, I’d have them all. But at least now I have one of my very own. It’s my first, but hopefully it won’t be my last. Thanks Wade! You rock, and BH RULES!!!!!

Thanks buddy! And you're absolutely right about that energy thing. I think Wade has really locked onto something special with this character he's created. Every time he does another new piece, no matter how different it looks from the last one he drew, it always has the same sort of amazing energy about it. Very, very, cool.
