Description

Unpublished comic strip art featuring Slewfoot Jones, a Powell character that also appeared as a backup in True Sport Picture Stories in the late 1940s. This is thought to be a tryout for a daily comic strip that didn't develop.

The art is large, 22 inches across, and I've pieced two scans together. A better photoshop user could probably reduce the glue stains and darkening, but oh well.

Also, I'm not sure if this would be Powell's work alone, or whether it would be from his studio.

If anybody could shed any light on this strip or character, I'd apreciate it.
