Seems likely that this painting was created in the 1940s - based on the fashion and hair styles.

Berry painted many pieces for Liberty magazine, as well as movie related art. The main figure is clearly Gene Tierney, who was one of Hollywood's top actresses in the 1940s and 1950s. It is possible this piece was done for marketing purposes for either "Laura" (1944) or "Leave her to Heaven" (1945).
