Description

This is one of my commissioned pieces from GEORGE PEREZ, who back in March 2009, last year was offering a menu of options for a limited amount of people within a limited time to do such renderings as a Marker Sketch Style, Marker and Tonal Pencil, as well as Finished Quality Artwork which could be done in pencil only or could be inked as well as an option for what was called "Perez Backgrounds" (his trademark detailing). Figures ranged from Chest Up Portrait to Mini Bust and Full Figure. This was completed in March 2010, so it took about a year from request to completion, which isn't bad considering George Perez is both a legendary in-demand artist as well as very busy with his other projects (including taking on commission requests at that time). This is THE SCARLET WITCH of Marvel Comics THE AVENGERS in her classic costume which is a Finished Quality Artwork Pencil and Inked by George Perez. My only regret is that I didn't request backgrounds for this piece which, based on what I've seen him do on other pieces, really adds nice depth to a piece and almost becomes its own character, complimenting the foreground figure beautifully.

Fantastic piece, I do like the gypsy costume better, but to each his own. I also imagined what this would look like with a background. I picture a warped reality behind her. Congrats.
