I was the lucky winner on ebay! If you have not read this story (by Neil Gaiman), go find a cheap copy of this issue - Swamp Thing Annual #5 - AND READ IT NOW! A very short five or six pages, but a thing of beauty.
I told Mike at a convention that his late 80's artwork is his best. In retrospect, I should have said it's my "favorite" rather than his best. He kindly still signed my copies of World of Krypton.
Mike's artwork has graced some of my all-time favorite comics, and I am overjoyed to have this lovely gem. He deserves all the praise and accolades that one could give.

Although I hesitate in agreeing that Mike's best work was his earliest, you certainly aren't alone in this thinking. Great page, btw!!

I love all of Mignola's art, but I agree that this time period really was special. This story is my favorite Mignola art. Thank you for sharing!
