Karate Kid vs. Rocket Raccoon by by Tom Fowler and Simon Gough

I'm a big Jeff Parker fan and will buy pretty much anything he writes. So of course I bought Mysterius the Unfathomable and discovered the amazing art of Tom Fowler. I saw more of Tom's work on the awesome Comic Twart blog and knew that I had to get a commission from him. Then I found out that he's a Rocket Raccoon fan, so of course I had to have Rocket as Val's opponent. And then Tom sent me this amazing piece. I LOVE the layout of this piece with Val's foot looking so big as it comes at the viewer and Rocket circling his leg. Just awesome. Many years later, I sent this over to colorist extraordinaire Simon Gough, and he made this commission look even MORE awesome! At this point, I need a whole comic collaboration by Tom and Simon!

If Karate Kid can keep this fight close, he shouldn't have too much of a problem. But he might want to get checked for rabies from any bites he receives. If Rocket gets some distance from Val, and gets to use his many, many guns, then I think that Val's best course of action will be to retreat and fight another day.

If you like this piece, then go buy some books featuring Tom's work and/or go buy some of his art for yourself.
