Ferro Lad, Timber Wolf and Phantom Girl meet Kitty Pryde, Wolverine and Colossus by Fred Hembeck

If you read any comics in the 70's and 80's, you've probably seen some of Fred Hembeck's work. He was a regular on editorial pages and in promotional books like Marvel Age and DC Sampler. And if you've never read any of Hembeck's stuff, go get this book. Anyway, I wanted a commission from Hembeck but his style is more for humor than kung fu fighting. So I had him create a piece of some Legion members meeting their counterparts (in powers, at least) in the team that originally got me into superhero comics, the X-Men. And of course, the piece looks fantastic.

If you like this piece then go buy some books featuring Fred's art.
