Karate Kid vs. Timber Wolf by Gene Gonzales

Gene is an artist that I discovered through the internet, but I don't remember exactly how. But once I saw some of his art, AND discovered that he's a Legion fan I knew I had to add him to my commission list. While browsing Gene's blog I saw a few drawings of Timber Wolf, and this one in particular convinced me that Brin should be the opponent for Gene's commission. Now in addition to drawing a great piece for me, Gene gave me a bonus by posting a video series of him penciling and inking this piece. Thanks again to Gene for all the time and effort he put into this for me!

Karate Kid and Timber Wolf were friends who have sparred before, so they know each others' fighting styles pretty well. And while Brin is faster and stronger than Val, he's just not as skilled. And if Val can overcome Superboy's superhuman strength and speed (if only temporarily), he should be able to beat Brin.

If you like this piece then go buy some books featuring Gene's art. And also try to find Gene's "Tales of the Cherokee" comic series, which I hope he gets to do more issues of in the future.
