This is my souvenir from Mitch Itkowitz's first, last, and ONLY trip to WonderCon. I helped him with his booth that year, but alas, there was nothing I could do about the poor attendance and even poorer sales. Poor Mitch, I guess he was expecting another San Diego. Anyway, I noticed this piece while we were packing up at the end of the show and he just gave it to me. What a sweetheart. Come back Mitch! Come back! :)

Thanks buddy! Always did have a soft spot in my heart for Vikings! Some nice work by Kane too. Looks like something that could've been published in an issue of Savage Sword.

Love these Vikings pages, but really wish their backstory was known, either way the art rocks, congrats!

Yeah, I really dropped the ball on asking Kane about this when he was still with us. But you're absolutely right. While having some background on the art would certainly enhance my appreciation, not having it in no way detracts from its power and beauty. Thanks for the comment Joe.
