Without a doubt, this comic features the best-looking Don Heck art ever. Tom Palmer really did a number on the pencils, but I think Don was super-inspired as well. Thanks for sharing these pages, Sean!

Hmmm, I may have to disagree with Lee here a bit. Was Don Heck inspired, or was he told by Marvel management to imitate Neal Adams' pencils for one issue? I mention this because I never saw Heck's art ever look like it did in this issue again. Look at his work in Avengers 145 and Avengers 146 and the DC books after he left Marvel. Of course, having Tom Palmer's inking assisted with the Adams' style and apperance. I think that the only person that can truly answer this style question is Tom Palmer now since Don Heck has passed away.

Even before I moved to Japan, I had become enamored with anime and giant monster movies, so I always liked comic characters that were inspired by Japanese culture, and Sunfire was one of the better ones.
