Description

Whoa, my first Mike Deodato page! I remember reading and liking Warren Ellis' take on Thor in the "World Engine" story ("Thor" 491-494). I can't believe that this was about 15 years ago. Anyhow, Thor, newly-returned to Earth, finds himself strangely weakening. Only with the protective magics of the Enchantress is he able to regain his strength and find his attacker. This splash page has the Thunder God carving the rune Thursiaz on his gauntlet (part of a short-lived shirtless costume). The entire story has long been available as a TPB. It's worth checking out if you're either an Ellis, Deodato or Thor fan. (Won on eBay)
