Description

Once again its time to join T'Challa, the one, true King of Wakanda and Black Panther and he continues his international tour and meets the heroes of the world. This time he's in Brazil where he joins forces with one of that countriy's greatest superheroes: Lagarto Negro!

Lagarto Negro (translation: the Black Lizard) is an actual Brazilian comic book creation. Long story short, the character is a former anti-terrorism agent who worked for the Brazilian government. Only he discovers that there's corruption in the government he worked for so he goes rogue and winds up battling that same corruption up to the highest levels. He's the star of his own comic in Brazil, and man, would I love to see these two team-up in an actual comics story.

The art here is provided by the great veteran comics artist RON WILSON. Ron is perhaps best remembered for his stellar run on the MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE comic, featuring the ever-lovin', blue-eyed Thing and a different guest-star every month, so this is a man who knows team-ups. Thanks to him for this superb piece. This commission was set up through his art rep, the incomparable Jeff Jaworski. Damon, I just love your commission ideas. The pay homage to heroes of color, not only in the Marvel or DC universes but worldwide. I love reading the backstories to these pieces as much as I love viewing the art. Thank you for sharing, my friend! Can't wait for the next one!
