Really and truly can't think of a better Buscema Surfer page. This one has it all!
Museum piece ! Congrats !
This really is quite a spectacular page! It hits all the marks. Congrats.
BEST Buscema SS page I have ever seen! Thanks for sharing - it's amazing!
The art is great, but the passion and poetry in your description is even greater!
Outstanding! Love this page! Buscema + Silver Surfer = Heaven
Just freaking awesome.
The Surfer is one of my all-time favorites (...top three for sure). The great Kirby may have created him, but Buscema’s was the look that really sticks for me as the quintessential character look. Fantastic page of art!
Museum piece ! Congrats !
Master piece !!! Incredible art !!!
I often come back here because in my opinion this is the best SS piece by Buscema in the whole site, congrats!
Thank you so much for that. Big John was a great artist. I knew this page was special when I got hold of it. Please come back and enjoy this page whenever you can.
Without a doubt, the best Surfer panel page I've seen. Congrats on having this!
He's attempting to flee from Earth and its CGC boards, who can blame the noble Surfer!
May Pyramid Song guide his path...
Soar noble Surfer break the barrier and keep going brother.
Soar noble Surfer break the barrier and keep going brother.
Wowwww Fantastic page, I love it, congratulations
So beautiful and breathtaking!!!
Mesmerizing page, a timeless classic, congrats Michael !
This is so amazing! Big congrats!
I started out reading comics before I ever knew you could collect artwork. And even though I mostly stopped collecting comics when I started collecting artwork, I still read artwork pages like I was reading them in a comic. It is very possible this is the first page I've ever come across where I actually tried to IGNORE the text on the page, and just look at the artwork by itself. Not because there's anything wrong with the text/dialogue. But the visual storytelling is so astonishingly good, you don't even need to see what the Surfer is saying. Look at the depictions of his expressions as you move through the page. That's a true master artist at work. Starting right with that first panel, you FEEL the tortured angst that is such a hallmark of the Surfer's character, and then the determination as he sets forth. Man, I miss John Buscema. I know others have said it, but I'll just agree, if it's not the best Surfer panel page out there, it's darn near the top of the list. While it probably goes without saying, I'd be kind of a jerk if I didn't say Huge Congrats on being the owner of this remarkable page.
this is a TOP SS page!
The dream Silver Surger page
Still my favorite Silver Surfer piece on Caf!!
My favorite (not surprising or unique in taste) of a tremendous collection. This is just a treasure and your efforts to add this piece to your collection paid off a thousand-fold.
One of the best pages in the series...emotional storytelling. Congrats.
Amazing page and a great story. I don't think anyone calories the essence of the Silver Surfer like Buscema did. The expressions and fluidity of the figure are what makes this era Surfer timeless.
Just love the way you talk about artists and art. (Love this beauty of a page of course!)
Wow. What a Treasure.
Buscema at his best.
Doesn't get better than this. Emotional. A pivot. A call to adventure. All beautifully inked. Just Wow!
Iconic panels. Love the emotions conveyed and the 5th panel
A really boring page from a useless series by this almost unknown artist, but I would take it out of sheer pity, by Odin's bistling beard :)
:-)
