Description
I developed a high school crush on this Heck/Everett Black Widow page the first time I saw it in collector Sean L's CAF gallery several years ago. I often wrote it overwrought love poems proclaiming my torrid feelings, only to chicken out and delete them before clicking "add comment."

Natasha is a beautiful Russian spy worth fighting for. The chase scene to land this page involved upsetting fruit carts on narrow streets in exotic locales. Initial negotiations included a lavish and surreal opening title sequence featuring silhouettes of naked women. For reasons neither Sean nor I are quite sure of, a shadowy monocled character stroking a Persian cat became involved in the bargaining, with an insidious raft of demands. A hostage stand-off ensued, light-hearted gunplay followed, somebody's island fortress exploded, and Natasha and I escaped in a rubber dinghy.

Natasha Romanoff will return.

If you like this page even a fraction as much as I do, here's what you should do: go to collector Sean L's CAF gallery. Read his want-list. Gather up those pages from your collection, or from those of your friends who don't share their art on CAF. Mail them to Sean L. Don't overthink it, just do it. Sean is a stand-up guy, and Dame Fortune will smile upon you for your good works. Don't put it off!

Nice Page! It's no shower scene but the 2nd to last panel is cool. Congrats!

I cannot begin to describe the twin turbines of anguish and despair this cruel parting has left me with, churning my innards past all endurance. Never trust a red head. Yet I am recovered thanks to the fair visage of a certain mistress of magnetism and her verdant locks, that was surrendered unto me in a tense prisoner exchange brokered by a shadowy figure who's maniacal machinations did send these 2 fair beauty's thru the heart of darkness. The horror, the horror....the...horror. Drake will care for her, I know, and I take some solace in that...some. Other's will curse us both, but this was a destiny fulfilled. Thanks Drake, and as for the rest of you voyeurs, it's much easier to see all the AA widow pages in one gallery than many, so just send them Drakes way.

I agree with this inarguable logical assessment in the strongest terms. In this post-911 world, it's the only thing that really makes sense anymore. Reach into your hearts, then reach into your portfolios, friends.

It's really gratifying to see two of my favorite CAF collectors work out a deal, no matter how anguished, that makes them both happy. I've never seen Ivan Petrovich look so good, especially his mustache! Too bad two panels had to be wasted on that woman--what's her name again...?

I was wondering when this very fine Everett-inked page would arrive in this great Ivan gallery...Congrats!

I've always loved Heck's art and this page shows off some of his strengths. Great panel artwork capped off by two panels where he draws a stunningly beautiful Black Widow.

So much fun and style in this page! There's no gender ambiguity with Heck's principle characters...

As the speech bubble say, speaking of creeps, I think a sexist dinosaur may have written in the totally unecessary underwear shot. Lol.

Cool page. Has the look and feel of one of those '60s movie heist capers set in Europe.

Wow!  Everett inks on Heck pencils do make for an uber-sexy Widow!

A page to crush on for sure!

I can't think of a better Silver Age artist to draw this series than Heck.....
