I normally never liked heavy inkers. But Klaus Jansen made everything he inked look even better. Sal's pencil have always sady been underrated by most fans. The man was pumping out books by the truck load in the day. Jansen's inks on What If #3 & Marvel Premiere #31 with Wood-God rocked as well. Congrads & I agree comics to me since the late 80's at Marvel. DC the mid to late 90's have really gone down the toliet.

What If #3 is one of my all time favorite books, his Defender annual and DD over Kane were also highlights from the day. I need to re-look at Wood God. I remember really liking that Marvel Premier and now I know why. Thanks for the comment.

Wood-God was a weird & bleak tale, but I always loved the odd ball characters lke 3-D Man & Omega the Unknown also. Loved the Howard the Duck meets Defenders story also. By Sal & Klaus in the HTD treasury edition. WWaaauugghhh!!

Janson gave SBuscema a great, edgy look. Those Defenders issue were among the best work by SBuscema - agreed he is a very underrated artist. Great pick up!

Wow! What a great flashback page to have - Nebulon and the Headmen, panel to panel. Amazing page! I agree, Sal inked by Klaus was just one of the great combos.
