This set of commissions of the original X-Men is beautiful, all the pieces - but this Angel is special. Tthe five characters of the beginnings had the innocence of frightened kids, similar to the one of the Lee/Ditko Spiderman. That innocence went lost in the Claremont reload, and then forgot - but these drawings convey this ancient memory very, very well. Beautiful series.

I like the expressive brushwork, and the sense of the weight of the body in flight. Beautiful piece.
