Description

This book blew me away as a kid in high school. I bought this off the rack at the White Hen Pantry and reading this book till the cover fell off. Tom Sutton's art was spectacular and the story was fantastic. Thanks to John P for a chance to own a page from this story! This page is very reminicsent of the cover shot, which I now know to be in good hands of Steve K.

Hi Larry, I made that comment not as any kind on negative, as I also loved Tom's work on the mag...around the same time Tom did this project he was also doing a number of stories for me and he and I often talked over the phone...he talked about how he was really unhappy with Marvel and this Star-Lord hero he just finished drawing, he rubbished the whole project...(possibly because of the mood he was in?)...over the years I've found a number of artists who have hated some of what I believe to be their best work...I guess there may be more to it than just drawing...possibly "honest love" may play a big roll in how an artist views he's own work and when a job is produced without love, then hate may play a part?
