Wow!! This piece is amazing!! Perez even incorporated two facial images behind the trees (can you see them?) as well as the Bat signal. I wonder who he was depicting...

I looked at it for a few minutes, and it seems that the facial images are none other that Batman and Robin themselves (!) - you can see the leaves forming Robin's "domino mask" (on the right) as well as other trees forming the "bat-ears".

I wondered if they might have been past incarnations of the boy wonder, but the left is clearly BM himself, so that theory doesn't hold. Splendid drawing! Love the flying bats and the vehicle design in particular.

Truly amazing piece!!! Haunted.... I can see 2 male faces punctuating the background... Seeming to project out from the Batsignal.... Could they represent Bruce's loss/grief.... A ghost image of his Dad, Thomas, & Bruce losing/finding/healing himself in the Batman....?

An absolutely stunning piece this with, I think, a respectful nod to a classic Batmobile plate by Carmine Infantino. Though at the same time, all Perez and all terrific.
