Description

Our Fighting Forces w/The Losers was my favorite DC War title. By the time I started reading comics the title had long since been canceled. However, through the magic of 4 [sometimes 5] for $1 sections in flea markets and eventually comic stores, I acquired most of their appearances. Glad I finally was able to get a cover from the run, especially one drawn by Joe Kubert

Signed in 1976 by Joe Kuburt!

Interesting that Jenette Kahn signed this cover back then as well. She started as publisher that year, at only 28 years old, when Warner took over...Guess she went to cons back then and signed art? Just seems strange to me especially since this cover/book preceded her tenure.

Special Thanks to George Hagenauer who upon finding the original word balloon stat,lost for 2 decades, contacted me and sent it my way. Also for this info on the piece:

"Hi I was the original owner of the art it was donated to the Chicago Comicon's First auction in 1976 - Jeanette was there, Joe signed it when he shipped it to us. The word balloon fell off during the probably 20 years I owned it and when opening a box yesterday I found it!"

Anyways, believe it or not I'd trade this for another Kubert Our Fighting Forces cover that I remember better, so if you are in same position shoot me a message.
