DescriptionThis was the variant cover for the Death of Spider-man storyline, issue 159 Ultimate Spider-Man.I'm a big fan of Franklin Booth and Bernie Wrightson's Frankenstein. I have a big project coming up where I'll be illustrating a book in this intense ink style. I decided to get in some practice, starting with this Spider-Man cover. It was pain to do, took me several days and several Micron Pigma pens but the end result was worth it. Social/Sharing |

LOVE the linework and the fact that you'll be adapting that for your next work. Off to a rather fine start, it looks like!!!

Unbelievable piece -- if it wasn't for Spidey, I would have said it was drawn by Booth.

I really like the way you opened up the composition by not using the intense hatching on the central figure of Spiderman. The angel of death wings are also particularly well done.
