Gasoline Alley Daily Strip 6-9-1927. "Walt wants another chance".
When i first saw this strip among the favorites on Roger's website some years ago, i immediately fell in love with it. It has all the melancholy a father can feel when the time passes by and his child grow and starts her own life. And that Frank King rendered so beautifully. I will be forever grateful to Roger for having offered me the chance to get this piece, which means so much to me. And always will. This piece has also been used as wrap cover for one of the volumes that reprint GA's dailies, which makes it even more appreciated. Of course, this piece is dedicated to me and Greta.

A beautiful and poignant piece Max. I assume the strip is from the Madam Octave storyline, when Skeezix's real mother resurfaced. A great piece of history. Congrats!

I can't believe that I have not commented on this yet. Max. I love this. I saw it in person in San Diego a couple of years ago and did not grab it while I could. But I am happy that it landed in your collection. I know that you feel connected to this work and that you are thrilled with it.

This to me is the best Gasoline Alley strip ever! I guess in a way I can related to it from my own parents sitting out on the front porch many of a summers eve talking about the day's events. Very touching, very poignant.
