Description

Simon Fraser is a long-time Doctor Who fan, so he was happy to do a sketch in my book. I thought it would be cool to have Simon draw Captain Jack Harkness from the spin-off Torchwood. The character did remind me a bit of Nikolai Dante, who Simon co-created in the pages of 2000 AD. Simon started sketching out Jack, and then decided to include team member Gwen Cooper. After finishing both Jack and Gwen, he looked at the drawing, said "This needs something on the left to balance the picture out," and proceeded to add the pterodactyl that was hanging out in Torchwood's headquarters in the first two seasons. Thanks for a very cool sketch, Simon.
