Larry Todd

Larry Todd and I first met at the 1969 Saint Louis World Science Fiction convention wherein he, the late Vaughn Bode and Jeff Jones held a gallery showing of their art works, both singles and jointly created such as their painted Vampirella and Creepy covers. Later in 1974 we asked Larry to paint a cover version of The First Kingdom #1 by Jack Katz I was the first publisher of when I was still a partner in Comics & Comix. For some reason then i no longer remember we thought Katz might not grab attention spans of comic book readers off comic book store racks.

Here Larry drew his famous creation Doctor Atomic. Larry Todd art is rare these days due to horrible fire which burned down his studio in northern California in the late 70s.
