Description

This is an Easter week surprise commissioned on one holiday and delivered on another.

This past June at Heroes I was unable to get on Francesco's sketch list but Francesco said he'd love to do a Doctor Fate for me. Knowing how much I had spent at Heroes and that money would be tight for awhile I suggested I send Francesco a check around Halloween.

I did with a note stating I knew he was busy and whenever he could get around to it that would be fine. Little did I know how busy Francesco was about to get as his work seemed to explode. DC, Marvel,Dynamite, he seems to be working everywhere these days, yet Francesco found time to keep his pledge and Easter week this gem appeared in my in box with the notice the actual piece is in the mail.

I thought it appropriate to present it on Easter Sunday.

The thumbnail looks like a 70's style. The actual piece looks like an awesome golden age style. Either way... awesome.

Loved Francavilla's work on BLACK PANTHER, THE MAN WITHOUT FEAR. And this Dr. Fate rendition shows why I dig his work so much.
