Description

How did Mike Mayhew escape my notice all these years? At the 2011 Anaheim Comic Con, his portfolio was open to this page. I was blown away. Look at that shading, all dead on and done by hand. The people look like real people with fine and distinguishable facial features and expressions, not to mention how elaborate it is with all that complicated perspective and detail. This is like Alex Ross's stuff. Fortunately, he had this and a great GGA page at prices consistent with my limited budget that day, It's almost all ink and diluted water color. Impressive.

This is a page from New Avengers Annual #3 featuring Ms. Marvel, Spider-Woman and (I think) Mockingbird out of uniform.
