Frank Frazetta 7 Romans Painting .
This is the Painting prelim done for Marvel Comics , Epic Magazine #1 from 1980.
The colors are incredible and this Mighty Gem needs to be viewed in person, Scan just doesn't do it justice.

Oils, Watercolors, and pencil make up this incredible painting.
Large prelim for the master, measuring 7 1/4" x 9 3/4".

This is absolutely beautiful! I've always loved this painting by Frazetta, and wished he had done more historical and realistic type paintings like this, he really excelled at this sort of thing. This preliminary painting is just superb, I'm sure it's tough to capture all the nuances, details, and sublime energy in a mere scan. Congrats on a wonderful pickup!
