Giancarlo Caracuzzo started out publishing in the Acme periodicals Splatter, Mostri, Torpedo and Zio Tibia. He illustrated several episodes of 'Nero' for Granata Press since 1991. For the Universe publishing house he was the graphic creator of the 'ESP' series. Founder of the Roman School of Comic Strips, he created numerous episodes of 'Miti Greci a Fumetti', a series in which Greek mythology is adapted to comics. He is also an artist for Bonelli, for which he did 'Martin Mystère' and 'Julia'.

Nasce a Roma il 15 settembre 1960. Frequenta il liceo artistico ed esordisce come autore di fumetti a ventidue anni, sulle pagine di "Lanciostory". Il talent-scout Francesco Coniglio lo chiama a collaborare prima con la EPP (per la quale realizza fumetti erotici), poi con la Acme (pubblicando racconti dell'orrore per le riviste "Splatter" e "Mostri", e disegnando la breve serie umoristica "Zio Tibia"). Questa esperienza gli vale l'ingresso nello staff di Zona X e Martin Mystère, esperienza con cui inizia la sua collaborazione con la Sergio Bonelli Editore. A questo impegno ha affiancato la realizzazione de "I grandi miti greci a fumetti" per la De Agostini. Per Sergio Bonelli Editore lavora per le testate Nick Raider e Julia e, nel 2005, fa parte dello staff della collana Brad Barron.
