Bill drew this for me at the Saturday Nightmares Horror and Sci-Fi convention in East Rutherford, NJ, 6-4-11. When I first asked him for Hellboy, he said he'd only drawn him once or twice before (in a portrait of Guillermo Del Toro and his creations, and another very cool piece, both showcased in his 'Convention Sketches' sketchbooks). He said he had a lot of fun drawing him and I think it shows. A great piece!
