DescriptionBack in June 2010, Paul Renaud had given me the option to reconsider the purchase of the cover illustration to his HEROINES Portfolio, having completed it. However, seeing the image made me even more convinced of its beauty. A scan of it is elsewhere in this gallery. Paul commented, "I'll mail you the portfolios myself.I'm sorry if I forgot asking you this before, but would you like a headsketch on the Portfolio? Which character would you like?" I chose a little portrait of Dave Stevens, since the cover to the portfolio was done in memory of Dave. Flash forward to July 2011 and in my mailbox was a wonderful care package from Paul including this lovely pencil portrait of Dave done full size on the back cover of the portfolio. Wow!
