Description

The Brigadier was a popular recurring character on Doctor Who who made numerous appearances. The head of UNIT, a military task force organized to combat alien invasion, the Brigadier stood alongside the Doctor in confronting otherworldly foes. The Brigadier may not have been the deep thinker that the Doctor was, his authoritarian nature often led him to be concerned with rules & regulations, and he did have a tendency to "shoot first and ask questions later." But despite all that, the character had a deep sense of duty and unwavering bravery, and he unflinchingly stood in defense of Earth & humanity.

I thought it would be very nice to ask Larry Hama, the long-time writer of the G.I. Joe comic book series, to sketch the Brigadier. A lot of the Brigadier's qualities are shared by the members of the Joe team, namely the devotion to duty, the dedication to protecting life and liberty. Even though Larry was not familiar with the character, he agreed to have a go at sketching the Brigadier, and it came out very nicely.
