Etrigan the Demon Bedevils
Fallen Angel by
J.K. Woodward
J.K. Woodward recently ran a commission sale where he did convention-style watercolor and gray wash pieces from home. I've been a big fan of his work ever since I first saw it in Fallen Angel so I ended up commissioning two pieces from him. Since I've been commissioning pieces of Etrigan meeting and fighting other mystical characters, Fallen Angel semed like an obvious choice for J.K. to draw for this theme. And it's a fantastic piece! I love the angle of this and that Lee is the only source of color.
It appears that J.K. clearly thinks that Angel beats Demon in this fight and I'm inclined to agree with him. Of course Etrigan isn't usually up to real evil and after he reverts to Jason Blood I'm sure he and Lee can come to some kind of agreement while the Demon is visiting Bete Noire. I doubt it ever will, but I'd love to see this story happen.
If you like this piece then please do go buy some books featuring J.K.'s work.
