DescriptionThis was love at first sight. When i saw this posted online, I knew I had to have it. Everything on this drawing is hand drawn, down to the letter box, 35 cents logo, etc.. I'm a sucker for covers that incorporate a black background. What better background to have than Darth Vader filling up the cover and the details of the stars and outer space that only Arthur Adams can do? The details represented here are just sheer lunancy, and I'm thrilled to have this in my collection.Of course, I should mention that this is one of Art's cover re-imaginings. The original Star Wars #21 cover was pencilled by Carmine Infantino and inked by Terry Austin. As a bonus, the art itself is large...14x21. I can't thank Arthur and Joyce enough for letting me buy this. They're really two of the nicest people I've met in this hobby. Social/Sharing |

Awesome Adams! Thanks for bringing this back to the show so I could see it. LOVE the big Darth in the background. The other characters are nice too, but for some reason, I sort of like the droids better than the human figures. Just incredible that everything is hand drawn. Typical of Arthur though! Just a tremendous, tremendous piece! Congrats bro!

Congrats bro!I'm with you Eric, the Droids steal the show on this one for me, particularly C3PO; but I just can't rap my head around how amazing it must look in person as a whole at 14" x 21"! Enjoy it Joe! She's a beauty, one of Art's best!

Ok...oh my god...wow...this is GIGANTIC! First of all it is a great Adams piece, but my god what a great retro SW cover! I always loved SW and the Marvel series and all those classic covers. This is a GRAIL.

And here you were saying to me that all of your shopping had been done before SDCC.... ;) I guess for something like this exceptions could and should be made. Congrats Joe!

This might be single best commission Art has ever done. That it is in your collection is no surprise. Props.

This is awesome. One of the best recreations I've ever seen. One of the best Arthur Adams pieces I've ever seen. Star Wars is too cool. Iconic. And I'm with you in loving all of the lettering details. Heck, I'm loving all of the details and everything about this.

Love this piece! How do you improve on an original classic? Simple, have Arthur re-imagine it!!!

I just saw Mr. Adams at a convention in Houston over the weekend. He had a huge digital copy of this in his porfolio for sale. What are the odds that I would randomly come across this image 2 days later? Congrats!

This piece screams fun. I really dig it. What stands out is even though Art's Darth Vader looks like Art drew it, he still kept some of the elements that made it distinctly Infantino. True brilliance on on his part.
