DescriptionThis is an 8.5" X 11" Wolverine commission I did for my fellow, North Carolinian Joseph. He wanted something similar to my original Wolverine running through flying pieces of badguys... One of my very first posts here! The only thing was... he wanted a smaller, 8.5" X 11". Well, I hate doing anything "too" similar so, here is his piece. I hope you all like it, and I hope to hear from you all.***** OK... I have another side note here. As all of you know, I have been going through some serious problems with my eyes. My Diabetes has brought on busted and leaking blood vessels that have started to effect my vision. Well that has caused my work schedule to be a little eratic. I hope you all can understand that this is hell for me. Try being an artist and have your eyes taken out of the equation. It is pretty difficult to draw when you can't see well. Well this second eye injection I had was a lot worse than the first. That little pen type deal the doctor used to inject the first one was replaced by an actual syringe this time that was stuck into my eye. Granted the actual hypodermic was only about 1/2 an inch, but that is still pretty tough. Anyway, long story short, it hurt worse this time and I had some really bad irritation and pain along with it. I was going to take the weekend off, but a problem brought me back to work early. I now have a buyer who is saying that I am using this eye problem of mine to, pretty much, rip people off. That I am using this condition and problem when it is convenient for me. Well, I am not going to say who the buyer is, and I have quite a few, so I don't want to point fingers or anything or act like I am upset. I have no hard feelings... Turn the other cheek right? Now, I can understand, but I WILL NOT have anyone attack my character and say that I am using this crap I am going through to take advantage of anyone. I am not! This is a serious problem that I am dealing with, and I would never wish it on anyone. Not even my worst enemy. I wish to God I could control what happens with me physically, but I am not trying to use something that could take my eye site away from me... FOR GOOD, to take advantage or "rip off" anyone. I take pride in my work. I love what I do.. and I think that shows, but I will never let anyone bring my character into question. If you don't like my work, don't ask about commissions. If you don't think I am being truthful, call me on it... But never... EVER think that I would use my disease... my personal life, to take advantage of anyone. This has really hit me hard and I don't think I need to justify myself to anyone. What I am going through is real... and it is hell. I hate having to wake up every morning and wonder whether or not these injections are going to help. I have drawn all of my life, and it is hard to think of that, along with everything else, being taken away by my illness. I just want to invite anyone and everyone that thinks this is a joke, or that I am faking... Go through what I am going through. Have these injections. Spend nights wondering if you will be seeing better tomorrow. try picturing your life without your site. That is what I do every day,.. I pray to God every night (sorry if that is not your bag, but it IS mine... and I am not ashamed of that) that my eyes get better and stay that way. Thanks to all those who know I am not like that. Thanks to all of those who own my work and thank me for what I can still do. Thanks to all those who have ever said that my work is good and "well worth the wait". I will not defend my character here ever again. Only one man will ever judge me... and they sure as heck aren't a member here. At least... I don't think they are. lol. GOD BLESS! There, I said it! Sweet piece (as always)! Forget these people who question your character. Those of us who have dealt with you know you are a passionate artist who loves what he does. Just keep getting better and don't get stressed out.
