Description

One of the con highlights for me. I got this page on the first day of the con along with a Joe Kubert twice up OAAW page. I bought both pages as priced from a booth. The owner of the art was away but he had a younger assistant helping him and the Kubert page was $800. I happily bought this page and the Kubert page. It was a really nice Kubert page. About an hour later the assistant tracked me down and told me the Kubert page was suppose to be $8000 rather than $800. I gave them back the page and I took my money back. Technically I owned the page and I paid the price that was asked but it would not have sat well with me and it would have taken away from any enjoyment I got from the page. I did still end up with this page from a key issue although no Subby on it. Great sketches on the back as well.

Nice Subby page. $8000 for a Kubert interior? Something fishy going on there. Kubert war COVERS usually don't even go for that much, and often much much less.

Every time I dig around in your gallery I find another gem. Also I'd love to see that Kubert page. Have you ever come across it since?
