DescriptionThis was a piece that I created early 2010 from a sketch that I had made in the Fall of 2009. I was visiting the Thomas Wolfe House (A historical landmark here in Asheville, North Carolina) with my wife and oldest stepdaughter when I noticed a huge Writing Spider outside one of the bedroom windows. As the tour guide rambled on and on ( I am not a history buff by any means, so my wondering mind just wouldn't let me concentrate on any one thing other than this spider the whole time I was there), I just watched, mesmerized, as this spider sucked the life out of some poor, unfortunate insect. When I got home that evening, I sketched out this idea of Spidey perched in this gnarly Writing Spider type web with Doc Ock and the Green Goblin (along with a few Pumpkin Bombs) all tangled up and looking like something Spiderman might contemplate eating for dinner. A few months later I pencilled the piece and it has been hanging, framed, in my workroom over my drafting table since. I am selling this piece on Ebay, along with a Venom close-up piece, as I plan on repainting my workroom soon and decided to get rid of any hanging art. I also need the money! I have been working a lot on getting caught up with paid commissions, so I have had no money coming in. I thought this might help.
