The World of Jack Kirby - in Colour

As a fan of Kirby's later works I had a great time asking Ron Frenz to do the "The Official Handbook of the Jack Kirby Universe" that I have. Clearly there're more Kirby characters than that and I've always wanted to do something else. So, a bit back I got in touch with Dan and asked him if he'd like to tackle it. He was totally up for it and I ~love~ what he's come up with. It reminds me of those later Who's Who covers. Gloriously Kirby stuff here!

In the back and nice and big is Gammenon the Gatherer who's holding Kamandi, Machine Man, Moonboy, Devil Dinosaur, Atlas and Ikaris in his hand. Plus, flying by in the background is Orion. Plus you've got Metron looking on and Darkseid being his badass self. Such great poses for Ikaris and Kamandi. And Darkseid's positioning here is perfect. And how cool was it to have everyone in the Celestial's hand.

Now with the amazingly psychedelic colours of Kyle Latino! ~it's like I can hear the colors~
