Suicide Squad Cover Commission #1

This is a cover commission I pencilled and inked for Bill Cox. It features the 1960s Suicide Squad (AKA: TASKFORCE X) pitted against a giant snake in Paris! In the late '90s I was hired by DC Comics Licensing to draw BATMAN ANIMATED books for kids, so it was fun to draw this cover in a similar style as that. It was fun to draw the Squad flying around in the Hiller Flying Platforms, and I enjoyed the challenge of drawing the Eiffel Tower and snake from a birdseye POV! This piece is 11"x17" was primarily inked with a Raphael Kolinsky Red Sable brush and Speedball SuperBlack India ink.
