Description

The story behind this commission is that I had met Mr Moore at Baltimore Comic Con, and had contacted him after to see if he would be able to do a commission for NYCC, which at the time was ok, but he later had to cancel due to work load.

Comes NYCC time, I stopped by his booth and asked him if he had any opening, and on the second day he did, so I asked for this piece, which is Katchoo wearing a Kimono and holding a katana in her hand in a presentation hold. The complexity of this piece was that the finger placement on the hold had to be precise, but also, I asked Mr Moore to draw it so that one can see her eyes and her mouth, but the nose should be blocked by the blade.
Mr Moore was very kind and asked me to show him how the fingers had to hold the sword, so thanks to a person with a poster tube, I was able to model them for him.
He took the time to draw the piece to my hopes and even did a couple minute fixes on the final art piece to exactly match the picture I had in my mind.

A wonderful process being able to see such a wonderful artist as Mr Moore express one's mind idea.

Lucky! It's pretty tough to get a Terry Moore piece DURING a show now! Great score from a great artist.
