Description

One of the wonders of the internet is that it has enabled me to make friends with fellow art collectors from all over.
One of those friends is fellow CAF gallery owner and Master of All Things MARVEL-TWO-IN-ONE related Brian Sagar. Brian and I, along with "One-Minute Later" kingpin Michael Finn and JSA art uber-collector Mighty Michael Dunne correspond regularly regarding the goings-on in the comic art world. Still, imagine my surprise upon finding out that Brian, without my knowledge, has obtained this killer commission for me of the Black Panther -- my favorite comics character -- by none other than Steve Sadowski.

I became a fan of Sadowski during his run as the artist on the JSA series. In fact, I've had him on my "to-do" list for years, hoping I'd one day get a commission by him. Little did I know that Brian turned this to-do item into to-done. Proof positive of what a great guy he is, with a heart bigger than Ben Grimm's fist.

My sincere thanks to Brian for such a kind, wonderful gesture, and to Steve Sadowski for doing such a beautiful job. As for Brian, he can sit smugly for the time being thinking this wanton act of kindness will go unresponded to. Little does he know.
