DescriptionI fell in love with the cover to Strange Tales #158 by Marie Severin as soon as I saw it in the Heritage preview. A twice up cover by totally underrated Marie Severin? Sign me up! Marie did her first work in the late 40’s as a colorist for EC (brought into the business by her brother John), eventually ended up at Marvel in the early 60’s, and was picked to take over Dr. Strange in Strange Tales, succeeding Bill Everett, who succeeded Steve Ditko. It’s great to have one of these old, large art, covers. I mean, come on! It’s Dr. Strange against The Living Tribunal!! Does it get any better than that?Social/Sharing |

I remember reading this comic like it was yesterday. My copy had Doc Strange completely ripped off the cover, but the interior art was sweeeeet! Congrats Ron!

Absolutely love this cover; remember buying the comic-book back in the 60s and being really taken with the image. The Living Tribunal looked awesome! Congrats - color me green with envy!
