Description

I didn't commission it myself but bought it from the original owner. Scalped is one of my favorite read right now and specially because of the incredible art of storytelling master R.M. Guera (the writing is not that bad either ;) Here we have two characters from the supporting cast, Grany Poor Bear and Catcher. And you can fully appreciate Guera's sorytelling even in a seemingly still splash like this. There is tension in the scene, a past and emotion between the 2 characters. Very moody, very inky and simply great art :)

I was the original owner of this piece and am glad it's found a good home. I will say however that I miss it dearly! I had to sell it (amonst other things) to fund a cross-country move. I'm now considering another piece to replace this one. If you want to know anything about this, I can say: I didn't want a typical commission which often ends up as a "portrait" or floating/incomplete character sketch on a page. I wanted a "scene", something with weight. I told Guera I would like something like Granny on her porch and maybe Catcher in the background. He turned that vague request into this beautiful image. I personally LOVED the rolling smoke from her pipe.
