Thanks, Frank, for the enthusiasm! I wish this had been the cover by itself...looking at this now, I see I added the trail from the rocket, on the computer--as well as the foreground element. The rest was a marker/ink/pencil drawing.

Hi Larry, thanks-- I am glad it hit you! I always loved the drama in the Superman mythology. I remember how much it affected me as a kid and tried to channel that back in when I did this work, so glad it came through. Would love to do more on this someday but doesn't look too likely unless I do more pinups on my own... which I might!
