DescriptionThis was done for me by Fiona Staples at the Image Expo comic convention in Oakland, California USA on February 24 - 25 - 26, 2012, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Image Comics at the Oakland Convention Center.Fiona Staples primarily works with the digital medium for her published artwork, so to get something rendered with the traditional tools of the trade, paper, pencil, pen and ink, is a great opportunity. Fiona Staples is most recently known for her work on the somewhat controversial breast-feeding cover of the Brian K. Vaughan book "Saga" in 2012. This is The Red Sonja, by Fiona Staples. I am really impressed by this Sonja. There is a weight to her in this image that you do not see in 99.9% of Sonja art. Thank you for sharing this with us on CAF.
