Description
In 1975, a 9-year-old walked into a comic store and was blown away by Hulk #190 and the month after by #191 featuring toad men, Glorian, the Shaper of Worlds, Jarella, Crackajack other friends of the Hulk. I read and re-read the book to death and now, thanks to a very kind person, the cover to one of those two special Hulk issues belongs to me. I could not be happier!

It's always great when you can pick up a piece of art that was a meaningful part of your childhood. This is a great-looking cover! I always thought the Shaper was a cool-looking baddie, and Adkins did a great job of inking Trimpe here. Congrats, Michael!

Very cool Michael, congrads! I am a bit older then you. But I feel the same way about most Marvel comics from 1969-71. When I was ages 7-10, my golden age & the late 60's.

It is a great moment in collecting when you can add a memory like this to your collection. Herb Trimpe inked by the underrated Dan Adkins is beautiful nostalgia.

There are special moments in this hobby when you capture something that allows you to revisit a better time when the world was in front of you and your heroes were four color. Congratulations on getting such a special piece of art from your childhood.

I had this comic growing up. I think someone gave this one to me. I just realized, too bad I didn't buy the Hulk 10 issues before this one!

Don't know how I missed this one. I know many people like the Trimpe/Severin combo but for me, I always liked the slightly later stuff such as this. Love the dumb Hulk look on this cover. Priceless!

Very cool cover! I also have fond memories of the later issues of the Trimpe Hulk run.
