DescriptionPossibly the ultimate Elsie the Cow Collectible - this is the entire presentation package created by Fred Voges and artist Wally Wiest i n the late 1940's early 1950's to pitch an Elsie the Cow dancing Doll booklet- Included are al of the watercolors shown in the gallery -some of these are for pages of the booklet -each of these are about 9 by 9 inches - others are watercolored prototypes for the Dolls- these are all original art not prints or stats but actual goauche watercolor on illustration board.Also included are 5 promotional photos from a travelling "Elsie House" that went mainly to various country fairs , a promotional postacard and 5 sheets of preliminary pencils on vellum of which 2 are shown plus an unpainted cardboard model that was used to test the movement of the dolls. The whole set multiple pieces of art is for sale as one lot - a rare one of a kind item I have had for over 25 years since I got it from Fred Voges- Social/Sharing |
