Loved Jim Starlin art growing up reading comics like this one with Ka-Zar and Zabu the Sabertooth. Drawn in Starlin's breakout year in 1973 (won "Outstanding New Talent" award that year). Inks by John Romita who signed the piece.

Congratulations Dino, in my opinion this is one of the BEST Ka-Zar covers ever !!!!
The cover looks to be in amazing condition, considering the amount stats that would have been made to create the "panel burst".

Nice cover! That old "breaking out of the panels" trick was always a very powerful visual device (a la GS Defenders 1).

What a nice cover. I love Ka-Zar and Zabu busting out. But it is also fun to look closely at the various panels in the background. Zabu -- Big Cat !!

Dino, a breathtaking Bronze Age gem of a cover! Ka-zar was one of my favorite characters back in the early 1970s. His run in Astonishing Tales is so vivid in my mind. Many of the top artists working for Marvel worked on Ka-zar's run in AT - Gil Kane, John Buscema, Jim Starlin, BWS, John Romita, Rich Buckler, Dan Adkins, and even Marie Severin. This cover I believe was inked by my favorite inker, Frank Giacoia, maybe with Romita corrections. Congrats on owning one of the best covers in this great run!
