Kent Shakespeare by Gene Gonzales and Simon Gough

This is the third "Conventionless Convention Sketch" I got Gene to do for me this time. I think that Gene has drawn Kent Shakespeare before, but not in this costume. Anyway, in Superman/Batman # 80, Chris Roberson and Jesus Merino showed a possible future where Laurel Kent and Kent Shakespeare were the Superwoman and Superman of the 31st Century. I thought that this was a fantastic idea and that it would be a great way to bring them back into current continuity. Dean Trippe hooked me up with some great reference for this costume (he designed it!) and I asked Gene to work his magic with it. And he did. I really dig that Gene actually had Kent doing something "Super" with smashing the boulder. And then I watched Simon color this one over livestream which was really fun. Let me say that watching the man work made me admire his skills even more. Anyway, both guys did awesome work, just like always, and I cannot thank them enough.
